Hogwarts

St. Georges is actually one of uwa's 5 residential colleges. I'm staying in Currie Hall (racist name, no? haha) at the moment, which sucks because there're so many cockroaches. And they provide only breakfast (i've been eating only coco pops every morning). And it's for 45 aud/night.







And to commemorate (haha) Ren's last night here in Perth we decided to have dinner together in Hogsbreath cafe. To me Hogsbreath seems like an equivalent to the Chilis we have back home. They're famous for their steaks though, which i think was really good. Drools. Ren here is my next door neighbour in Currie Hall from unsw and he has been here in perth for 2 months just for internship and some research thingy. When zyun and i first arrived in perth we were so lost and if it weren't for him we wouldn't be able to even find our first dinner here that day. It was nice meeting him really.



As for dessert, we went back to Pancakes at Carillon and had waffles and pancakes! They were absolutely delicious, just as the first one was. Give me 3 years, i'll eat everything on the menu eventually.

Monday (first day of cny) was coincidentally also Aussie day here. Took a bus down to the city with the sole purpose of watching the fireworks. We had like multiple australian flag tattoos all over us which i find funny, because back in malaysia even if you kill me also i'll never stick a jalur gemilang tattoo on my face. Ok maybe i would if you were going to kill me.

Anyway the whole tattoo thing was all just for fun. I'm not aussie-fied yet. Or angmo-fied as peggy says.

Scarborough beach + reunion dinner

It's true. The beach here is really beautiful. I didn't manage to take really cool pictures though. Some more my camera not that chio right.





It was reunion dinner the same night and we met up with the rest of the IMU people. It was also my first time spending cny away from home, and first time having pizza for reunion dinner?

BBQ

Apparently bbqing is like an aussie thing here. Kings Park is about 30 minutes walk away from Currie Hall (where my temp accommodation is) and walking under the scorching sun was such a torment! Seriously i beh tahan not having a car :(

Perth city

We headed to the city on friday evening as the shops close later - around 9 pm. They close around 5 pm on other days, which i think is troublesome because it's hard to even find a place to have dinner outside. After dinner and a few strolls around the city we hopped onto the Blue CAT (free bus ride) and came down at ... i don't even know what the place's called.











That's the oz coat of arms which consist of the kangaroo and the emu because apparently neither animal can move backwards. Some ball thing. A sticker in the bus. The black swans. Sunset. Swan. Star-jump! Judith. The mirror man? And pancakes! The pancakes were super duper delicious i tell you.

The last few days spent in malaysia had been really blissful. From the sleepover to the late night karaoke-ing. Meeting relatives and close friends. Lunch appointments with mum. Time spent with family. Dad's last minute advice. The airport. I've never felt so loved. I miss all of you.

4. Four. Empat. Sei. Die. Argh! I'm still drowning in my to-do lists. 

Tam suggested a farewell sleepover at my place last saturday and my, it was fun. Haha. It was also the first time i got so tipsy. Slightly drunk? Well half of us drank till we puked. You wimps hahaha. It was crazy. Umm... crazy. If you ask me whether i would want to do it again, i'd say i'd definitely think twice this time.

So bye bye my high school mates :( Last time when high school ended i thought the distance would drift us all apart, what with everyone going separate ways, doing different pre-u's and such. But i was wrong. If anything, being separated did nothing but brought us closer together.














Tam. She is one person i know i can always count on. That she will always be there for me. Thanks for the scarf you knitted for me. So touched la :')



Kiat Hwa. The happy-go-lucky, the ffk-er, and the blur. It's ok kiat, despite your imperfections we still love you. Haha. Or do we not? Hahaha. Just kidding la.



Loy Yang came back from oz (for good, hate you) on new year's day and i have been meeting him almost every day ever since. Apparently i'm also his kryptonite, so if anyone of you would want to wage a vendetta against him just dial 017-gotohell. Don't know how i can thank you just for making yourself free until the 18th, and for making sure that all my cravings are satisfied. Muacks.



Lau is like the most independent person i've ever known. Although we only see each other when loy yang comes back i'm glad that we could still hit it off whenever we meet up again.



Con con here is my odd-job partner, my shopping partner, my mamak partner. My temaning partner. Wait that makes no sense. Haha. Saya akan rindu kamu con con. Masih ingat shitz? Phlegm/flame? Aduii saya akan rindu semua sesi berketawa-ketawaan kita. Hahaha.



Mic: Do you want to be cremated next time?
Con: Yeah!
Mic: Yerr...
Con: Why not? I'd be dead anyway. My dead body wouldn't care.
Mic: ... Actually i'll be more noble la. I'll donate all my organs.
