Happy b'day Kiat !

Last night Loy Yang and I were agreeing with each other of how much we should really cam-whore again in the future. The uh-very-intellectual discussion turned into a backfire of tantrums and laughters and we were virtually cursing each other, indirectly. Well it went like this:

who got stats n acc2 textbook wanna sell??? says:

ps. he can really cam-whore you know. Leave him a camera and go and shop all you want. When you're done your camera's memory'll be all taken up ;) I seriously think he should form a cam-whoring club with my brother, Shawn. haha.

And yesterday, we went to Sunway Lagoon in the morning. The 'we' consisted of: Kiat Hwa, Loy Yang, Tam and I. The whole purpose of the outing was to celebrate Kiat Hwa's belated birthday, but that purpose was only revealed to her during dinner. Haha. It's going to be really pointless describing the every nook and cranny of Sunway Lagoon we've tramped on, or how our limbs were in grotesque positions and stomachs turned cartwheels during the 360 degrees swings. So this time round, I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

We took a picture right before we kept our belongings in the locker.

There weren't even a single picture of any of us on any rides because, first things first, we can't possibly carry a camera on a ride that rotates 360 degrees. I wanted to at least bring my handphone so badly but concluded that it wasn't wise as there were some rides which'll get you wet.

First played in the dry park, then proceeded to the wet park around 1.30 in the afternoon. No pictures, no pictures. As for the wet park, we spent most of the time wrestling each other in the water. It was hilarious.

So before we left, it became a desideratum for us to take a few more pictures.

It was already 4.30 when left the lagoon. And all of us were famished as we didn't even have breakfast in the morning. The process of deciding what to eat took some time but we finally settled for Hartz Chicken Buffet. When we told Kiat Hwa that everything was for her birthday celebration, her eyes widdened to the size of dinner plates.

Went jalan-jalan after that, and left the place around 8, i think. Even did some bo-liao cam-whoring in the fitting room.

Parking duration: 9 hours and 55 minutes. I'm happy :)

I had to drop by Mrs. Lee's place after that and we hung out at her place till it was almost 11.

Let's see what are Kiat Hwa's birthday wishes for this last (this or last?) year:

She wishes for heaps and heaps of edibles, prays for endless wads of cash at her disposal, and hopes to be blessed with the sight of many eng dao kias. Happy birthday Kiat!

Post-cvs

Finally had the chance to post. The very much dreaded cvs exam is finally over. And it ended with a plunge of despair. The questions were so unexpected that in the middle of the exam i went into that posture of deep thought and practically gave up. I didn't even bother to check my answers. Well there wasn't much time anyway.

I spent the whole day out on Saturday. Whole day - with 3 different groups of friends at different times.

First went to Mid Valley with Jess and Pek Yiong. After fetching Jess from her place we reached the mall around 12.30. And as usual, Pek Yiong's always early. We didn't do much on that day. The initial plan was just to have lunch. So we ate in Sushi King, and the remaining time was spent walking around the mall, searching presents for Diana and Thuan Tzen. And we managed to get both :)

Pek Yiong wanted to show off her new slim and sophisticated Sony T50. With touch-screen capability some more.

I came home around 3.30, and it was then that Lau came and fetch me and the rest to Pyramid. We thought of trying ice-skating but due to the resurfacing schedule and all, the plan didn't turn out. Hence the meet-up became an eating frenzy. First we had waffles in Waffle World, then japanese food in Ichiban Ramen which was just next door. Jess came to pick me around 7 and the rest of them later went for steamboat in Cheras.

The last outing was with the G10s in 1 Utama and it was to celebrate Diana's birthday. Jess and I arrived much later than the others, and we were ushered straight to Jack's Place to meet them.

By the time I reach home the time was almost 12 and my family were all in the condo. Decided not to go as I still have to pack my bag for the Kuala Kubu Baru visit which was on the following day. Was undeniably elated for the whole day was spent hanging out, but when i came home, the cvs exam started to haunt me once again. Bleargh.

So i left for kkb on Sunday, and came home just last night. Apart from the oppressive atmosphere of the sick room, it was quite an insightful visit. Got to witness a childbirth and saw a few other procedures in the A&E as well. No post mortems though, unfortunately. I didn't get any sleep during the last night as we gals unintentionally left the door latched from the inside and weren't able to gain entry into our dorm. So that became my second experience pulling an all-nighter. The following day I was so tired that during the hospital visit my eyelids kept drooping and my brain was slowy shutting down.

Ok, have to make up for all the lost sleep now.

happy 2007 !

Reminiscing over the year...

1. Entered medical school and made new friends. After the torturesome episode of agonizing between the choices of pursuing medicine and pharmacy, I finally made up the crucial decision of choosing medicine as a career. So I’ve made some new friends, and also survived the m106 orientation - it was the first time I’ve ever eaten dog biscuits too.

After the ugly ice-breakers.

2. Went to Genting with the G10s. Jess and I hemmed and hawed and finally decided to join the G10s for the Genting trip. Had so much fun. As the place wasn’t jam-packed at that time, we practically went up every ride few times. Glad i chose to go :)

G10's turning 2 on 3rd January!

3. Did my first elective in Taman Negara. Enjoyed this as well, and it was the first time I’ve been on a trip with 2 guys, only. It wasn’t easy persuading my parents for permission, but it all went well nevertheless. A whole week’s trip. Taman Negara was a good exercise and it got me back in shape… round is a shape right?!

I was praying for Min to be gobbled up by a multi-coloured giant leech for taking this picture.

4. Was given a surprised party for my birthday. An expected one, more of. But i'm happy! For some reasons surprise birthday parties seem to never work. Wish I could hatch some cunning plan and idea in the future. But the celebration was sweet – especially the getting-smeared-with-whip-cream frenzy.

5. Passed my grade 8 piano exam. Finally! After I first admitted it being ‘devastatingly depressing’ and was so sure that I was going to fail, it’s really unexpected that I managed to pass! Just ‘pass’, by the way. But I’m VERY contented with it. Now I daresay that was undeniably due to luck. Like 99.9% luck!

And let it be known...

My 2007 resolutions:
- Stop procrastinating. This is like an irreversible curse which seem to be stuck with me forever.
- No more lies. No more white lies, gray lies, fibs… Prevarications are fine *winks*.
- Exercise… a bit.
- Stop being so sensitive. I’ve always wanted things to go my way. I want this, must have it. Want that, must get it. It’s like I want whatever I want when I want it.
- Stop brooding over unnecessary things. I brood too much, hence the day dreams. I think I’ve allotted like half of my life just to day dream.
- Remember Debbi, don’t procrastinate. Don’t procrastinate...
- Stop being a paranoid. Stop acting like a nosey parker. Stop calling my brothers idiots. Stop cursing drivers on the road. Stop being a glutton. Stop spending unnecessarily. Stop wasting so much time on the computer. Stop blogging.

Short-term goals:
- Get a new, nice, chic, wallet. And a sling bag.
- Get a jacket, more clothes
- Get creative's PoPz
- Sail through every exam with fantastic results (this should be at the top of the list)
- Pass my grade 8 theory exam (this i must!)

Happy New Year people! And no, i don't plan to stop blogging.

A new blog for the new year! Well, so much for the new year. I could just hardly wait.

So, why switch?

1. I've been longing to change my blog's background. I know i could really do it by editing my current blog's template, but it'll be a huge hassle. For one, switching from a dark-coloured to a light-coloured background would be no easy task as i've changed the font colour of some of the texts - yellow texts wouldn't show on a white background, would they?

2. Have you seen my old blog's archieves? Indeed, it dates back to 23 b.c. I meant 2003. I was still the short little girl genuinely enjoying having to go to school and at the same time struggling to get SPM done with back then. My god. Have you read those posts? Well, don't ever. It's untouchable - being peppered with grammatical errors and whatnots all over. 'I never saw any friend at the night market'. wtf? And stop wondering. I don't saw my friends ok.

3. I was quite determined to stay with blogger, provided the template which i intend to use works on it. But it didn't! What a waste, had such a pretty template, too. So i started searching for other blog hosts, and stumbled upon this. Decided to give wordpress a shot. What attracts me most is its feature which enables password-protected posts. That way i could always blurt out whatever i feel like, and choose to hide the post from those whom i prefer not to be reading it. I am still with blogger. You can look at my experimental wordpress page though. I like it, and i still love the 'protected post' feature.

And, why the name debbites?

Debbites
adj. -tised

A congenital disorder which is also bizarrely known to be highly contagious. Once infected, the individual remains infective/ed for life. What is peculiar, however, is that the clinical symptoms only manifest itself when the infected individual is placed under decision making situations. Infected persons are characterised by the following signs and symptoms:

1. Acute hearing, visual, and vocal failure leading to difficulty in communication. To the laymen's eye, this is commonly perceived wrongly as the 'I don't want to hear it, see it, or talk about it' syndrome.

2. There is strong CNS (central nervous system) involvement leading to all nouns and verbs (when able to talk) to be replaced with 'I don't mind'.

3. About 1% of the infected individuals manifest with urine retention failure leading to chronic visitations to the toilet.

4. Involuntary contraction of the upper limb muscles - leading to irregular upwards movement of the shoulders (very much similar to the universal 'I don't know' sign).

Treatment: There are a few temporary reliefs and a number of remedies which have been proven to lead to a permanent cure, but those shouldn't be revealed here right? Otherwise everyone would be using it against me. How mean.

Well, basically when people say you're debbitised, it means you're being indecisive :)

This was originally posted in min's blog. It's ridiculously funny!

Kudos to mipeen and yapok for the discovery of debbites
